Residents are being warned to be on their guard after another spate of burglaries or attempted burglaries across the town.
These took place on Westbourne Road, Vivian Drive, Salwick Close, Mount Street, Grove Street, Roselea Drive, Norwood Road, Sawdon Avenue, a shed on Byrom Street, Stanley Street, a shed on Queens Road, Ash Street, Morven Grove, Ivy Street and Chester Road.
There were thefts from vehicles on Waterloo Road, Curzon Road, The Fal- lows, Broome Road, Compton Road, Wennington Road, Guildford Road, Alex- andra Road and vehicles were tampered with on Hart Street, Tithebarn Road, Montgomery Avenue and Chambres Road.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “It is advisable after locking external doors to remove the key from the interior side of the lock.
“Burglars have been known to break a glass panel in the door and reach in to obtain the key left in the lock.”
