Dane Ellard (24) of Argo Road, Liverpool was jailed for two years and eight months in December for a spate of crimes in Southport, including a home burglary and aggravated vehicle taking.
Ellard was this week produced from jail to answer another charge of burglary in Southport that took place on 31st October 2018. On this occasion a handbag was stolen from a nursing home and bank cards were used to purchase goods.
Ellard pleaded guilty to the burglary and four counts of fraud and was sentenced to a further 8 months to run following his current 2 year 8 month sentence.
The judge said he would have imposed a much longer jail sentence on Ellard if he wasn’t already serving his existing prison term.
But he said Ellard must serve a consecutive eight month sentence behind bars, starting once his current one expires.
