Brexit backers slam Southport remainers ahead of key vote

Southport residents say all sandgrounders need to support the Brexit deal.

Following Theresa May’s revelation about the latest Brexit deal, Southport residents have flooded OTS with letters slamming remainers.

One anonymous resident said “Remainers are always right, or are they? Recent letters on Brexit lead me to present the truth and contradict the Remainersstatements.

For example people are saying it was a lie we have lost sovereignty to the EU. But then, what have we been negotiating for over the past two years?

Perhaps the return of the 17,000 EU laws or the supremacy of British courts over the ECJ or our fishing waters.

Another Remainer tactic is state- ments dressed as facts but containing only opinions. They said the ‘EU maintained peace and prosperity in Western Europe’, contradicting those annoying facts that NATO keeps the peace.

One of the reasons the EU wants us in, is that Brussels bureaucrats think of the UK as some of treasure island, but with Brexit we can keep all that treasure for ourselves.”
