A man broke into The Concrete Company on Foul Lane on Sunday, prompting a police search.
Eyewitnesses told OTS that a man had broken into the property at approximately 5pm on Father’s Day.
The offence was caught on CCTV. It is not known if anything was removed from the premises.
Officers spent time on Sunday evening looking in nearby fields for a “man in a grey hoodie”. A bag of personal effects was left at the scene.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “We can confirm an investigation is ongoing following a business burglary in Southport on Sunday night, 20 June.
“At around 5.30pm, we were called to The Concrete Company on Foul Lane to reports of a man gaining access. The man was disturbed and left the area.
“Items were seized following an area search, assisted by the dog unit.
“Forensic and CCTV enquiries have been carried out.
