Police have confirmed they have found a body in their search for a 77 year old Formby man.
Detectives said Robert Ferdinand’s body was found on Friday, October 6, by officers searching the area. The 77-year-old was first reported missing three days earlier.
An extensive search of the village and surrounding area, including the help of volunteers, was carried out prior to the discovery.
A police officer is understood to have discovered Robert’s body during a search of Formby beach yesterday evening.
His death is being treated as unexplained and the death has been referred to the coroner’s office.
