Body cams and private security needed on our beaches

There have been a series of incidences of anti social behaviour on Ainsdale Beach.

Shore Road is a current Police Priority regarding antisocial vehicle use but nearby residents say they continue to receive reports regarding vehicles being driven dangerously.

One resident suggested private security firms could be the answer.

She said “Body cams worn by beach security staff could provide evidence and surely a few prosecutions would send a clear message out that Southport will not tolerate this type of anti social behaviour.
