A registered blind man was attacked from behind and kicked while on the floor at the Formby Iceland store on Chapel Lane yesterday.
Reports say the victim was leaving the shop
The victim’s son said on social media: “A man described as tall and well built came up behind my Dad as he was leacing Iceland, punched him in his lower back.
“When my Dad fell, the man repeatedly kicked him on the floor.
“Dad was taken to Southport AED. He is ok thankfully but in pain.
“My Dad is registered blind and has struggled a lot since losing my Mum.
“This was a cowardly thing to do to a blind man from behind his back. I hope if anyone knows who the attacker was they come forward.”
