‘Bladdered’ dog beater flees scene of puppy assault

Police are hunting a horrific animal abuser after a man was seen beating three puppies near Millars Place in Marshside last night.
He also allegedly attacked a woman who tried to stop him from hitting the dogs.

Detectives were called around 5pm to Marshside after the assault.

The male fled the scene after he was seen to kick and punch three West Highland Terriers which he was keeping in a pram.

The man, who has reportedly been identified by local officers, abandoned the dogs and pram before cycling off.

Any witnesses should call Merseyside Police with information which could help their investigation.
