A primary school in Birkdale has become the latest to insist an entire year group isolated at home after a positive test for Coronavirus.
This week OTS News revealed that over a third of schools in Sefton have positive cases of COVID-19 either among pupils or staff members, with the latest being Birkdale Primary School.
Parents of the Year One set at the school on Matlock Road have been told their children are advised to isolate for 14 days.
A notice from the school informed parents that it was highly likely year one pupils had come into contact with the child who has coronavirus and they must now self isolate as a precaution.
