Birkdale MAN caught with indecent pictures of children and extreme pornography
A Southport man admitted having hundreds of indecent images of children as well as extreme pornography.
David Poole, 69, of Blundell Avenue in Birkdale, appeared before Sefton Magistrates earlier today where he faced six separate charges.
Prosecutor Jane Stacey told the court that a warrant was executed at Poole’s home which resulted in the discovery of the images.
Poole was charged with making 66 category A images of children, 73 category B images of children and 81 category C images of children, possessing 220 indecent photographs of children, possessing five images which were categorised as extreme pornography and possessing four pictures of children which were categorised as prohibited.
Poole pleaded guilty to all the charges. All the offences were said to have taken place between March 26 2012 and February 12 2017.
Ms Stacey told the court that given the volume and extreme nature of some the images, Poole should be sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court.
Sefton Magistrates released Poole on bail. He will be sentenced on May 2.
