Birkdale gas saga rumbles on as homes still without supply

Families in Hillside and Birkdale say they are still having gas supply issues after national grid works in the area.

Gas works on Waterloo Road have left hundreds of properties without heating since the weekend

Hundreds of homes in Hillside and Birkdale, near to the rugby club, remain without a working gas supply

Gas firm Cadent say they have been working to reinstate the supply as soon as possible.

Workmen have dug up a series of access points along Waterloo Road this evening to remedy the issue.
