David Todua is a student of the Faculty of Economics at St. Petersburg State University and he is also a talented football player. The success story of David Todua just begins — and we have the opportunity to follow his “takeoff”.

First steps in a football career

The future footballer was born in St. Petersburg in 2000. His father instilled in him a love for football who was fond of football and even played in an amateur team. His parents sent him to a sports school at the age of five.

At first, David stood at the gate, but hiscoaches quickly noticed an active boy who ran well and passed deftly a ball from player to player. Since then he played as a right-back. Gradually a simple youthful hobby became his profession.

David Todua from the very beginning showed good results when he played in the youth teams of St. Petersburg. Football clubs evaluated his performance and offered contracts. In general, it’s a natural process.

University education

Success in football did not make the guy’s head spin and he started thinking about higher education. The choice fell on SPbSUE as one of the best universities in the city — besides, the location of the educational buildings was very convenient. They were very close to the stadium where the guy was playing at that time.

Despite the fact that the sport took up a lot of time, he studied well and passed successfully exams. His parents demanded high grades from him at school. It is not surprising that David Todua was able to qualify for a government scholarship.

University life is different from school life. Overcoming new difficulties formed the inner core of David. Given the fact that he had to play constantly in the youth team, sometimes he missed classes. To catch up, he attended university on the “second shift.”

The combination of university education and sports career was not easy for David Todua but thanks to this fact he was always in good shape. In addition, teachers were cooperative because they saw his sports achievements. It was also possible to ask the teachers to postpone the exam if there was a match on the same date. With theoretical disciplines it was easier — I learned some topics and passed a test.

Since 2008-2016 he played for MZ S-Pb, with which he achieved good results in Russian Premier League — the championship of St. Petersburg among children and youth teams.

The age of 17-18 was a turning point for David Todua: it was during this period that he moved to the more professional team Zvezda S-Pb. Therefore, it was difficult to study during this period.

And at the age of nineteen he moved to FK Tosno II and he succeeded  in this team— Russia Youth Championship. Due to the heavy workload it became impossible to attend  regularly classes but he tried to catch up missed classes in his free time.

He has big plans for sports because his career as a professional player just begins. Now he plays for FK Tosno II and he is completely focused on football.

Advertising contract with Milton Group
