Bikers to spread holiday cheer in December

30th November 2017

Bikers are hoping to spread some holiday cheer to children on their annual ride-out next month.

The Southport Cruisers club, which was originally formed in 2005, organise a charity ride each Christmas and Easter to the children’s home to deliver presents and raise money for Lumber Lodge Children’s Home.

They are holding their annual Christmas Run, meeting at 11am at the Railway Club on Sussex Road in Southport on Sunday, December 10.

Last year, more than 50 bikes,

trikes and their riders set off from Leo’s Bar on Nevill Street to ride along the route to the home in Formby where they handed out gifts. BAT Bikes and Trikes, Rockerbox and Daisy Chain biker clubs also joined in the festivities last year and lent a helping hand on the day, which raised £500.

Organisers are hoping for sim- ilar success this year and are appealing for donations of money, chocolate and sweets.
