Biker rushed to hospital following road rage incident in Southport

A female biker has been rushed to hospital after an apparent road rage incident in Southport (Sunday 7 May 2017).

Police have closed off a portion of Sussex Road this evening after eye witnesses reported seeing a woman biker “forced off the road” by an angry taxi driver.

The driver, who works for a prominent local firm, allegedly didn’t hang around for too long and quickly left the scene.

The biker has not thought to have sustained critical injuries but she has been taken to hospital as a precaution.

The bike was involved in a collision with a silver mondeo at the junction of Sussex Road and Windsor Road.

Police have closed off the road while a full investigation and clean up takes place.
