A man in his 30s has died this morning, after his motorbike was involved in a traffic collision.
Officers were called to the junction of Bispham Road and Canning Road at 7am this morning after reports a motorcycle and a black Mercedes had collided.
The man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Mercedes stopped at the accident and is assisting police with their equiries.
Detective Sergeant Kurt Timpson, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said “Our thoughts and condolences are with the family of the man who has sadly lost his life following a collision earlier this morning.
“We have now launched an investigation into his death and his family have been informed. They are being supported by our specially trained liaison officers.
“I would also appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident or properties in the area that have CCTV to please contact us. Alternatively if you were driving in the vicinity I ask that you please check your dashcam footage that may have captured the incident and to also come forward.
“Every piece information is vitally important to our investigation to establish what happened so we can provide answers for his family.”
