Southport’s biker community came together on Friday to pay tribute to Charlie Brown who passed away on 3 August, aged 68.
Brown served for many years as Chair of The Original Cruisers and was heavily involved in community work running Egg Runs, Toy Runs, Rock Nights and his successful Rally With A Chalet & Halloween Rock Weekend at Pontins Southport.
Hundreds of motorbikes accompanied Brown with his family on a final ride to his funeral at West Lancs crematorium.
Ahead of the funeral Charlie’s family said: “Charlie has been unwell for some time now, he sadly leaves behind his childhood sweetheart of over 50 years Jan, his 2 Boys Andy & Adam, his Daughter & Son-in-law Erika & Paul.
“Charlie will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends and will never be forgotten.”
Charlie’s family have asked anyone wishing to pay tribute to his life to consider donating to the North West Air Ambulance, one of Brown’s favoured charities.
