The unluckiest pub landlord in Southport, famed for her selfless charity work, has once again seen an attacker in court for a vicious assault on her and her husband.
A court was told how a mum in her thirties called landlords of the Wellington pub “Scottish c***s” and said she wished their parents got cancer during a racist tirade.
Lorraine Johnson, 39, launched the torrent of abuse after spilling drinks in the Wellington pub and being asked to quieten down.
Johnson, of Canning Road, in High Park, then hit husband and wife James and Annie McTaggart as they asked her to leave their pub, leaving James with a cut to his eyeball and Annie with an injured knee.
Johnson pleaded guilty to two charges of racially aggravated common assault, plus racially aggravated harassment, criminal damage to a police van, racially aggravated criminal damage to The Wellington pub, and the possession of amphetamine.
She was given a suspended jail sentence of 20 weeks and was fined a total of £695.
