Beales staff in Southport are fearing this weeks rush may well be their last Christmas as bidders flood in to buyout the building
Bosses at the flagging chain put the Lord Street site up for sale earlier this year as reported first by OTS News and now staff are said to be fighting back fears as they work through their last Christmas at Beales.
One shopper contacted OTS to say “I was in before looking for a perfume and one of the counter staff was sobbing away. I asked what was wrong and one of her colleagues said she was emotional that after working for the chain for ten years, this would be her last ever Christmas rush.
“It’s so sad we will be losing Beales. The town is dead.”
