Southport Beach wrecked and needles left after all night rave.

Contractors have been slammed after failing to clean up Southport beach after an all night rave.

OTS News has been flooded with complaints about the state of the beach, near to DW Fitness after overflowing bins and rubbish was left scattered across the beach.

Needles, empty beer bottles, discarded bras and a plethora of rubbish was strewn across the promenade this morning with angry residents shocked at the state of the beach.

Its believed an all night rave where young teens met up out of sight of local police was the cause of the rubbish.

But its the council who many are angry with, after none of the rubbish was taken away throughout Thursday.

One passing jogger, Susan Castleford commented: “The beach is an absolute state after what happened and something needs to be done about it.”

“I asked a bin man if he’d be cleaning it away but he just grunted and shrugged his shoulders.”
