As soon as the weather gets hot it seems some visitors think it’s okay to leave all their rubbish on the beach – it’s not. Please take your litter home with you, whether it be bottles, takeaway wrappers or chairs (why would anyone think it’s okay to dump a chair on a beach???) And please remember BBQs and fires are NOT allowed on the Sefton coast – they are a major hazard, damage the habitat, can cause appalling burns to children who run over super-heated sand and are sharp enough to cause cuts that can require serious treatment.
