Avalon Care Home in Southport is pushing the festive boat out this Christmas as they aim to become the most Festive Care Home in Southport! Not satisfied with the traditional tinsel and mistletoe they have assembled a fabulous Christmas choir from their carers, staff and superbly accompanied by the incredibly talented pianist, Jon Taylor.
Registered Care Manager Ann (Senior Care Elf) Jones said ‘We came up with the idea last year and sang at several other care homes. The joy that it brought to the elderly residents faces was a delight. The staff loved it too. This year we are happy to sing across Southport in any care home that wished to get in touch, but be quick as dates are booking up’ Any donations greatly appreciated for local charities.
And if that isn’t enough Christmas cheer for you the Avalon Santa’s Groto will open its doors to the public on 16th Dec 1100 – 1600 hrs. Entry is £3 with all proceeds going towards activity equipment for the Avalon residents.
