Asda donated 2.3 tonnes of food to Southport Foodbank since January

Thank you Asda Southport! We want to thank all Asda customers for their amazing support during this pandemic. Not only have they donated 2.3 tonnes of food to Southport Foodbank since January, but they used their green tokens – and we have now received £500 from Asda.

In addition Asda has provided other essentials in the last few weeks – giving Foodbank whatever items we needed at the time. Chief Executive Richard Owens said, “Our partnership with Asda is vital to us at Southport Foodbank and words are not enough to say how thankful we are for all the support we receive from both Asda and their customers. The collection point, by the café and tills, is there week in, week out, and people give week in, week out. And that giving has been a lifeline for many during this pandemic. Thank you!”
