Arson Attack Sefton Street, Southport
Detectives in Sefton are appealing for information following an incident of arson in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday, 14 June.
Emergency services were called to Sefton Street, Southport at around 1.20am, to reports of a fire at a block of flats. No-one was injured but minor damage was caused to a communal door.
At this time the fire is being treated as suspicious and fire investigators from Merseyside Fire Service are working with detectives to establish the full circumstances and the cause of the fire, after accelerant was detected outside of the property.
CCTV from the property and surrounding areas is being examined, house to house enquiries carried out and the scene forensically examined.
