It’s claimed drivers in Southport who’ve paid fines for parking infringements on private land could get a refund.
The RAC Foundation says it’s because the penalties are, in many cases, illegal.
The Court of Appeal will make a ruling next week, which could see millions of pounds going back into drivers pockets.
The Office for Fair Trading say some fines are too high because penalties should only cover the financial losses to the company caused by the parking infringement.
