New appeal for missing sex offender
POLICE have issued a new appeal for help to trace a sex offender who is still missing.
Jason George Gleave, also known as Jason Cunliffe, 33, is still wanted after failing to attend his bail address in Blackburn and for a breach of his notification requirements by not informing police of his current address. As a result, his licence has been revoked and he is now wanted by officers.
Gleave was originally convicted in July 2013 for taking a 14 year old girl without lawful authority and subsequently sexually assaulting her.
DC 2910 Yusuf Lorgat from the East Dangerous and Sexual Offenders Unit said: “We take any breach of notification requirements very seriously and we are still trying to trace Gleave. If anyone has any information on where he might be I would urge them to contact us.
“I would also urge Jason himself, if he sees this appeal, to hand himself in to the police.”
Gleave is thought to have links to Chorley, as well as Leigh and Bolton.
Anyone with information about Gleave’s whereabouts should contact police on 101 quoting incident reference LC-20150423-0503.
