Appeal for information after two hit and run accidents

Police are appealing for information after drivers failed to stop at the scene at separate accidents in Southport town centre.

The occupants of a Red Ford Focus Ghia are believed to have suffered minor injuries in a collision with another vehicle that failed to stop at the scene on Alexandra Road near the junction of Gordon Street just before 2pm yesterday (Nov 7).

As well as this, a teenage boy suffered a foot injury after his bicycle collided with an Audi today (Nov 8). At around 8am, a grey Audi collided with the boy on Albert Road, near the Tesco Express. He was taken to hospital for treatment. The driver of the Audi failed to stop at the scene and enquiries are ongoing to locate them and establish the full circumstances.
