Appeal for information following unexplained death In Waterloo

Merseyside Police is investigating an unexplained death after the body of a woman was found in Waterloo, Sunday, 29 July.

Officers were called to a Brook Vale playing field at around 5.20am following reports of concern for the safety of a woman. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time the death is being treated as unexplained and a post mortem will be conducted to establish the cause of death.

Enquiries are ongoing to identify the woman and inform next of kin.
