Appeal for information following serious injury road traffic collision in Southport

At around 2.30pm, a collision was reported between a Vauxhall Astra and a male cyclist in his 30s at the junction of Marine Drive and Marshside Drive.

The cyclist was taken to hospital for assessment of head and back injuries. The driver stopped at the scene to assist.
