Appeal for witnesses after teenager attacked at train station

A furious father is appealing for help to convict a group of thugs who assaulted his son.

Richard Hamilton said his son was hurt by a group of four youths at Southport station in a shocking assault at the town centre station just after 5pm last night.

The young victim had been defending his girlfriend from the group before they turned their attentions to him.

He says the individuals involved have now been caught by police but he is asking for any witnesses to come forward to help provide additional evidence for the investigation.

Richard said “My son is ok, no
bruising as he put his hands up and guarded himself well, all because he stuck up for his girlfriend, an old fashioned romantic at 14!

“My lad is the most polite kid you would come across, these lads are just absolute rats. I got there just after and drove round looking
for them.

“I found about ten of them trashing the McDonald’s on the front when we got there.”
