Southport residents are being warned of severe weather tomorrow with Storm Barra set to hit the resort.
The weather system which will come in from the Atlantic will bring very strong winds and heavy rain and likely cause even more damage to homes and trees in Southport and Formby.
The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning, which covers Southport between 9am and midnight on Tuesday (7 December.)
The strongest gusts will affect the most exposed coastal areas of the town, with potentially damaging and disruptive winds up to 80km/h (50mph) expected widely.
Gusts around the coast could reach speeds up to 115km/h (70 mph).
Those winds could lead to large waves and possible flooding.
Disruption to travel is also likely.
