Another shop on Southport’s Lord Street is closing its doors for good

Another Lord Street store has finally closed. Jaeger has now closed down.  The nearest store to Southport is located on Cheshire Oaks.

Neighbouring Peter Jackson jewellery closed down in May 2017 with a call for more action from Sefton Council to boost the street, while an uncertain future hangs over Debeham’s as well.

Peter Jackson the Jeweller to close down Lord Street store

Peter Jackson has served customers from its Lord Street in Southport town centre for many years.

The company also has stores in Blackburn, Preston,, Bury and Carlisle, all of which are trading well.

The multi store company is not the first to fall to the hard times and high rates, H&M, Accessorize, Thorntons, BHS are to name a few that have recently closed.

All the staff have been offered positions at Peter Jackson’s other stores and once closed, all repairs and orders will be transferred there.
