Another day another down on their luck homeless person.
Southport is now overrun with rough sleepers and nobody is doing anything about it.
An OTS News reader sent in this image of a man forced to sleep on the roadside opposite the Clifton hotel.
Whilst overnight temperatures were mild this is still not a safe place for them to sleep.
The OTS reader who sent in the photo said she witnessed two police cars driving past but neither stopped to check on his welfare or ask him to move.
The rough sleeper had also used the shelter as a makeshift toilet.
Sefton Council has a range of services for rough sleepers throughout the borough which are available all year round.
Services are at hand as we to try and reduce the number of people sleeping rough in Sefton.
If you see anyone sleeping rough or have any concerns about someone on the street, please get in touch. This is especially important during the cold winter months.
