A thirteen year old boy fighting cancer has thanked a group of fishermen for helping raise over £1000 towards his remission treatment.
Jack Rogan From Birkdale has recently rung the bell to signal he is in remission but he has thanked kind hearted angler Matthew Holmes for his surprise support in getting him to where he is today.
Matthew said “Jack has been a cancer patient and has now rung the bell to say that he is in remission.
“I’m a keen fishing angler for North Pole Fishing and met jack on a previous charity event in Birkdake a couple of months back.
I was So inspired to help Jack achieve his list of things he wanted to do with his family.
“So i went on to organise a charity fishing match at Partridge Lakes Warrington, where 69 anglers turned out to make it a great day and to help Jacks achieve his dreams.”
Matt goes on to say, “ I’ve always been keen to help were possible people with cancer and if I can do it through the fishing community then I will keep on Achieving great money for people”.
Matt added that he hopes jack and his family enjoy the money and enjoy making more future memories.
