An Inspiring Session with The Founder of Business Matters – UK’s Leading Business Magazine

21st September 2021

It takes a creative mind to develop something new and different out of an already existing idea. Many people adhere to, or rather, accept the things around them as they are and bring no change. We know that magazine culture is no new concept; it has prevailed for centuries. A conventional magazine comprises striking headlines, news related to fashion, entertainment, sometimes sport; it inculcates all information within it. However, Business Matters changed the game in 1987. They introduced a magazine solely concerned with business, small or large scale.

Today, Business Matters is a leading UK magazine brand. Luckily, I got the chance to communicate with one of the founders of the brand. Unfortunately, he asked for his name to not be disclosed, but I have a snippet of our conversation below, which you may find interesting.

Interviewer: Tell me, how do the people of the United Kingdom benefit from your platform?

Interviewee: Well, we give our readers all the business-related information they need. We send everything directly into the inbox of our targeted audience. With this approach, our customers need not search for anything business-related elsewhere. We do the research for them and provide them with comfort and peace of mind knowing they will find all they want in our magazine.

Interviewer: Very well thought out sir. So in today’s world of technology, how are you coping? How is your business reaching people differently? For example, we now have a lot of online supermarkets to facilitate the residents of the UK, like Offermate.co.uk  so, what have you done to cope with this modern world?

Interviewee: Well, we are aware of the changing times, and as is our mandate to offer top-notch up-to-date services, we are available online as well. We have our website where we enlist up-to-date information related to marketing, sales, legal, and technical news. And not only this, you may read the success stories, interviews, and profiles of top business people only with a click. We are on social media too. In addition, readers may also subscribe to our enewsletter and get daily updates regarding business tools and entrepreneurial ideas. The weekly digest remains a drop off in their email inbox.

Interviewer: What is the one thing that motivates people to read your news and stay connected with you?

Interviewee: My whole team and I believe that communication is the key, and honesty is a topmost priority. Whatever we publish in our magazine  is authenticated news without any fabrication or exaggeration. An unbiased truth is presented to the reader with clarity of language. This is the reason why the majority of UK business people opt for Business Matters magazines because our reputation and worth are based on analysis, precision and factual information.

Interviewer: That’s impressive, so how much are you satisfied with your brand, and how much do you think the readers are satisfied as well?

Interviewee: Let me answer this question based on facts. See, Business Matters is the UK’s largest business magazine that has the highest monthly subscribers of the printed version, a little over 150 000 subscribers to be precise. Moreover, we have thousands of annual subscribers, about 50 000. This implies that most owners of small or medium scale businesses in the UK avail our print readership. Additionally, there are thousands of owners who subscribe to our newsletter, so yeah, I can say that I am pretty satisfied and so are my readers (he said with a smile).

Interviewer: I appreciate your time and input sir. Thank you very much.
