Amateurs claim cup victory after fourth time of asking

An amateur football team from Southport are celebrating cup success today after finally claiming silverware at the fourth time of asking.

Southport & Ainsdale Saturday Seniors faced off against Milton First FC in the Bluefin Lancashire Amateur Cup final last night.

Two goals from striker tom taylor sealed the win and placed southport and ainsdale amateurs into the history books.
