Alzheimers Charity Summer Fair- Asmall Hall.
Asmall Hall care home was acquired by the family run Benridge Care Group in September of last year. Since then, the Hall has commenced major refurbishments. Asmall Hall is hosting a Charity Summer Fair event on June 24th to raise money for The Alzheimers Society. The company has always had close links to the charity and holds small in-house Summer Fairs every year, for residents and their families.
This year they are going bigger and better than ever with their 2017 Summer Fair. This will be the first time that their event, will be open to the public, giving prospective clients the opportunity to ask questions about the care delivered and view the home. “Our annual Summer Fair has always been an event for staff, residents and families to enjoy a fun day together, whilst raising money for such an important cause. We are excited to be holding the event at Asmall hall this year, as we now have the grounds to involve more people and incorporate more entertainment for all ages.” Says Lisa Connolly, Registered Manager. “We are delighted to be able to collaborate with Recycled Husbands this year, in order to improve on the money we have raised in previous years”
Recycled Husbands are a team of local fundraisers who are embarking on a 158 mile cycle from Whitby to Southport at the end of May to raise money for The Alzheimers Society “Alzheimers has affected my family for years, its a horrible disease that strips your loved ones from you. We wanted to do something that made us feel productive and not only raise money, but awareness. We love to cycle so we thought what better way to push ourselves than riding coast to coast. We want to raise £5,000, and Benridge are helping us further by hosting this wonderful summer event” – Mandy Owen, Recycled Husbands co-founder.
The event will be held on Saturday 24th June, from 11am till 5pm. There’s fun to be had all day long, with donkey rides, face painting, bouncy castle, birds of prey and even a train! Live entertainment will be presented and hosted by Mighty FM’s Trevor Ford, who will be our resident DJ for the day. We will have performances from local performing arts company Plastersine, showcasing clips from their latest production Legally Blonde. Terilee’s School of Dance, K9 Dog Display and other local singers and choirs. Local businesses are involved holding stalls of craft items, cakes, sweets, beauty products and loads more!
Pop along to Asmall Hall on June 24th for a fun filled day and to help raise money and awareness for an amazing cause that is close to the hearts of many in the local areas.
