How it works
The initial consultation is the first step towards applying for Canadian Immigration that analyzes the eligibility of the individual and ascertains their credentials and requirements for the application process and walks the applicant through the application process. The client’s requirements and documentation needed are also discussed at this point.
The first step toward obtaining an Invitation to Apply (ITA) is completing an Express Entry profile. Following that, the applicant will be placed in a candidate pool and ranked using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). The CRS is a point system based on merit that assigns a score to each candidate in the Express Entry pool.
Candidates with high rankings will be given an ITA and then asked to submit an electronic Application for Permanent Residence (eAPR). The eAPR requirements are those that validate the qualifications represented in your Express Entry profile, as well as proof that you are not inadmissible to Canada. If you are unable to supply a document that has been requested, always send a letter of explanation explaining why. It’s a good idea to highlight any attempts you’ve made to locate the lost documents, as well as potential replacements.
The documents must be written in either English or French. If they aren’t, you’ll need to hire a qualified translator to translate the paperwork. If the eAPR is approved, the applicant and any dependent family members included in the application will be granted permanent residence in Canada
Application programs
There are various applications that individuals can apply to depend on their immigration needs:
- Express Entry programs
These programs cover three immigration programs:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSW)
Young Skilled Professionals apply for this program, as it requires a minimum of one year of paid skilled work experience in the last ten years in NOC 0, A, or B; CLB /NCLC 7 language fluency (English or French); and a college diploma/degree.
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
This program is for skilled people who have worked or studied in Canada and desire to stay in the country permanently. This category requires applicants to have a minimum of one year of work experience in NOC 0, A, or B, as well as high language skills – CLB / NCLC 7 for NOC O/A and CLB / NCLC 5 for NOC B.
- Federal Skilled Trades Program (FST)
This program is for skilled workers who want to become permanent residents because they have a skilled trade qualification. Applicants must have a valid job offer from a Canadian employer for at least one year OR a Certificate of Qualification from a provincial body, demonstrate English or French language proficiency of CLB or NCLC 4/5 or its equivalency, and have at least two years of work experience in the last five years before applying and be able to demonstrate skills and experience in your trade.
- Family Class Applications and sponsorships
Inquire about how you (a Canadian citizen or permanent resident) can sponsor a family member, child, or spouse to become a permanent resident of Canada in a stress-free manner. You can sponsor your spouse, partner, conjugal partner, or dependent children to become permanent residents of Canada if you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. Only under extremely rare circumstances can you sponsor a relative such as a brother, sister, aunt, or uncle.
You can support an orphaned brother, sister, nephew, niece, or grandchild, for example. You may sponsor one relative of any age who is connected to you through blood or adoption. You could sponsor anyone if you don’t have a surviving relative. You can also apply to have your parents or grandparents become permanent residents of Canada.
- Provincial Nomination Programs
Immigrate to Canada as a permanent resident in a province or territory of your choice after being nominated by that province or territory. This program is for people who have the skills, education, and job experience that a province or territory needs to meet its labour needs and contribute to the province or territory’s economy.
You must intend to dwell and establish a permanent residence in that province. Each province and territory will have its immigration streams aimed at specific demographics, occupations, and needs. Students, business people, skilled workers, and semi-skilled workers are all targeted in these streams
Obtaining a provincial nomination can increase your chances of being accepted into the express entry system by 600 CRS points. There are provincial nomination schemes that are not tied to the express admission system if you do not meet the Express entrance standards.
