Alongside the amazing air displays, there will be a number of fantastic activities for children to enjoy.
Families who arrive to the show early will be able to view light aircraft landings on the beach, a display unique to Southport Air Show. The owners of the aircraft will be available to answer any questions that children and parents may have about their flying machines over the weekend.
On land, youngsters can sample army life with a weapons stand and a number of vehicles, including a CR2 Main Battle Tank, Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance Tracked and a Jackal Patrol vehicle on display or visit the Air Show Village and test their ability on a climbing wall, inflatable assault course and experience the next best thing to flying a fast jet in one of the many flight simulators.
Other activities include:
- Assault course with camouflage cream
- Mini tanks for children to try out
- Paintball range
- Bungee trampolines
- Land zorbs
- Bouncy castles
- Water walkers
- Aviation marquee with Lego displays
Tickets for adults are £8.36 (including all fees), children (5-15) are £6.27 (including all fees) with under 5 years of age FREE. Tickets are also available for the Premier Marquee which gives visitors viewing from the Pier as well as refreshments and lunch.
