Air ambulance rushes young cyclist to Hospital after serious collision

Emergency services have rushed to Hall Street this evening after a young boy was struck by a car, Wednesday 12 June 2019.

The young child was rushed to hospital via air ambulance after being knocked off his bike on Hart Street around 6.30pm this evening.

The boy, who is thought to be under the age of ten, was treated at the scene for serious injuries before being taken to hospital by air ambulance to Alder Hey.

The road remains closed while an investigation takes place.
