Air ambulance called to Sefton Street emergency

Emergency services are currently dealing with an ongoing incident on the outskirts of Southport town centre.

Paramedics, police and fire crews have been called to Sefton Street just after 2pm todsy following an emergency incident.

OTS has approached the emergency services for comment.

An air ambulance was also called to the scene and landed at nearby Portland Street fields.

The heli was put on standby by North West Ambulance after assessing the situation.

Emergency crews remain on scene on Sefton Street and the area has been closed off by police.
