Unsung heroes, maybe, compared to those working in other parts of the town but they are doing a mavellous job.
Unsung heroes, maybe, compared to those working in other parts of the town but they are doing a mavellous job.  Former Ainsdale Councillor Brenda Porter and present Ainsdale Councillor Lynne Thompson are pictured out working with Ken Porter, Elaine Brennan, Jim Reed and Cheryl Jane Craven.

All the tree pit planters in Ainsdale Village are made up as individual gardens so that each one is different. And the members of ‘Ainsdale in Bloom’ endeavour to ensure there is round the year interest as each season comes in. At this time of the year it can be difficult, due to the heat, to give enough water but the team do their very best and, so far, including last year, have been pretty successful. A big thank you is deserved for all the retailers and businesses in the village who allow use of their water taps.

Anyone who wants to help the ‘Ainsdale in Bloom’ team, both gardening in the Village and/or watering, should contact Brenda Porter.
