Cllr Ian Moncur, Sefton Council’s Cabinet Member Health and Wellbeing, said: “The activities Active Sefton have lined up for October half term are set to keep children moving and give them the chance to try new things, make new friends and most importantly have fun!
“Sefton Council is dedicated to providing events and activities to help keep our communities fit and active. I hope that all involved enjoy the school holidays and make the most of what we have on offer.”
Just in time for Halloween, Spooky Spectacular days will include; creepy challenges, ghoulish adventure games, enchanting tournaments, daring dodgeball and more!
Keeping to the spooky theme, Active Sefton’s ever popular Dance Mash Up workshops return with a Halloween twist and ‘Out of this World’ workshops will explore the worlds of vampires, mermaids, ghosts and aliens.
Brand new ‘Moana’ themed workshops will also be taking place where children can dance along to the songs, take part in the island games and even try their hand at making flower garlands like Hawaiian dancers have.
Active Sefton will also be bringing back its pre-school swimming crash course offering a 5-day course that will give your child the kick start they need in the pool.
