Abusive bailiffs target vulnerable Southport man with frightening texts

6th June 2019

Heavy handed bailffs working for the council have been bashed by a frightened Southport man who was sent threatening texts to repossess his furniture.

The man, who OTS News has chosen to not name to protect his dignity, was contacted in a stream of abusive and harassing texts by bailiff form Newlyn who he says work for Sefton Council. They obtained a court order to repossess his goods and furniture after failing to pay a bill.

He said “do the council think these type of messages from their enforcement agents are acceptable? They amount to harassment and some people are vulnerable.”

The threatening messages warned that the man must return home immediately before bailiffs broke in to take his beloved belongings.
