A shocked Southport woman has warned others to be vigilant after allegedly discovering what he believes is a stone in his takeaway meal.
Toni Muskett claims she was shocked when she allegedly discovered a piece of stone inside a takeaway meal from the Indian Kitchen in Southport.
The owners of the takeaway have contested the claim and say they have no exploration for how a stone could end up in their meals.
Toni says she wants others to be on the lookout and make sure they check all takeaway food before tucking in.
She said “I will never be ordering from the Indian Kitchen again.
“We have just found ‘grit and stones’ in our food. When I rang them up to complain, all they had to say is they don’t know how it got there.
“They wouldn’t refund us either.”
The takeaway has been exposed in the past in the national press after environmental health officers discovered live chickens in the restaurant and employees working in filth ridden uniforms.
Experts say the stone is most likely to have come from a faulty Tandoori Oven which has broken down over time and stuck to a piece of Naan.
The staff at The Indian Kitchen has refuted the claims and reaffirmed that they have no idea how it ended up there.
