Becky Hopkins, a student from King George V College recently took part in a once in a lifetime opportunity, to attend the ‘Queen’s Garden Party 2015’at Buckingham Palace, where she met the Queen and Foreign Diplomats from all over the world.
Becky Hopkins was invited to represent the Girlguiding Charity and work as part of a service team of Girlguides at the event at Buckingham Palace.
Becky, who originally started as a Brownie at English Martyrs School 11 years ago, now holds the position of assistant leader of the Brownies Group in Litherland.
Becky said, “After each getting a chance to speak to the Queen, the day was spent collecting tickets from guests and leading them into the Garden where the event was set up.
“One of the most interesting things about the day was seeing the range of people who attended- there was a mixture of foreign diplomats in their native dress, and service men and women who were being honoured for their work for their country, many of whom had been personally invited.”
