Significant annual staff rise at Woodvale charity for staff members creates public concern
An issue of some concern has recently been brought to the attention of Sefton Council and local councillors concerning a substantial rise in staff costs, for just 2 people, at the Woodvale and Ainsdale Community Association (WACA) charity in Meadow Lane, Ainsdale in Southport.
These are the charity figures causing some concern in the community.
‘Wages and salaries’ in 2013 was £31,478 but in 2014 it was significantly higher at £49,505.
Average number of employees was 2

Questions have been asked as to why WACA staff costs increased at such a dramatic rate over just one year in this small Ainsdale charity?
Conservative councillor, Ted Hartill, was the WACA Chairman during the time this large staff rise occurred.
Sefton Council are apparently funding WACA on occasion, therefore they should take this matter seriously.
Councillors have been asked to contact the Charity Commission for a response.
