Break in at Beales Department Store Southport.

Police are investigating a break in at Beales Department Store on Lord Street, Southport after staff opened up the shop this morning to find their windows had been kicked in over night (Friday 26 May).

As the investigation is in its infancy its unknown if the would be thieves made off with any stock and forensics are currently at the Lord Street shop analysing CCTV footage.

It’s unknown what time overnight the incident occurred. The unknown thieves smashed a small glass door panel before attempting to make their way into the shop.

Merseyside police attended the store at around 8am.
