4 Ways to Celebrate an Achievement

25th January 2023

Life is too short not to celebrate the little moments, the big moments, and everything in your life. Whether you have passed your driving test, finished your university degree, got a new job, bought a new house, or passed an exam, there are many different reasons that you might want to celebrate – and you should – for all of them!

However, you might want some suggestions to get you started, which is what this piece is for! Take a look at some of these top ways to celebrate an achievement, and enjoy the day!

1)  Book a Day Off Work

It is not often that someone needs an excuse to book a day off work, but celebrating something and dedicating a whole day to that is a pretty good one! You can do whatever you want with this day. See friends and family, spend the day watching Netflix in bed, or enjoy hours of doing your favourite hobby. Having time to enjoy your accomplishment, reflect on what you have achieved, and sit with it is an excellent way to celebrate.

2)  Buy Something You Have Wanted for a While

Not everyone is motivated by material things, but some people like to save things that they want to buy, usually a “want” item over a “need” item, for when it is a real treat. Buying something you have wanted for a while is an excellent way to celebrate. Having a budget is a good idea, or if you plan to celebrate something in advance, then consider a savings jar specifically for what you want. That way, you can add money every time you work towards your goal, and the pot will be there when your goal is achieved.

3)  A Party or Gathering

Whether you prefer a big party or a small gathering, what is a celebration without a couple of loved ones? Share your happiness and success with those who are going to be happy for you! A big party can take a lot of planning unless you can enlist the help of others, whereas a small gathering can be cosier, and you can have more control over it. It can even be set up at your house with some great party accessories and finger foods. Head over to Partysavesmile to get your hands on some great party decorations!

4)  Create a Memento

A memento can be anything you think will solidify the memory of your achievement, remind you that you can and have done it, and that you can go on to achieve other things. If you have received a qualification, why not frame it? Or, you could do something such as buy yourself a small piece of jewellery to wear as a reminder. An engraved pen is another fantastic idea, as it is something you can use all the time to remind you of your accomplishment. There are plenty of ways to get or create a memento that will mean something to you, and that you can treasure for years to come.
