Travellers Move On And Southport Left To Pick Up The Rubbish
Travellers that spent most of Christmas and the New Year in Southport have now moved on (January 4 2015).It appears that it was too much trouble to travel 100 yards across the park to the waste bins.
UPDATE: Travellers Relocate to Princes Park SouthportUpdate (Tuesday 30th December).
The Travellers who left Dunes car park have now relocated to Princes Park behind the old Southport Zoo.
The travelling families looked to be enjoying themselves today, burning fires and children playing in the park.
UPDATE: Travellers move on but leave plenty of mess
Travellers that spent Christmas in Dunes car park have now left (Monday 29th December).
Police attended the camp site on Friday 26th December.
They have left behind plenty of rubbish for the Council to clean up.

Travellers Do Like to Be Beside the Southport Seaside
Approximately six camper/caravans set up camp in Dunes car park on Christmas Eve.
Sefton council has kept the car park open and continues to operate a pay and display system to the public.

Southport Lib Dem Councillor, Tony Dawson thanks OTS News.co.uk for highliting the fact that travellers have descended in different locations throughout Southport today (Wednesday 25th June 2014).
Cllr Dawson has emailed Sefton Council and Merseyside Police to take action to remove them off Council land, see below……..
