20 mile hike raises funds for Trust In Yellows

6th January 2018

The club would like to congratulate Dale Bevington, James Cave, Jonathan O’Byrne, Kayley Robinson, Bill Sloan and Noel Warham for completing yesterday’s Trust In Yellow sponsored walk to Chorley FC’s Victory Park.

All six successfully completed the 20-mile walk in time for kick off to raise funds for TIY and for charity.

For the last 7 miles of the journey, the TIY walkers were joined by club directors Phil Hodgkinson, Ian Kyle, Martyn O’Hara and James Treadwell together with Ian’s son, Derren.

James Treadwell said on behalf of the board of directors: “Congratulations to all those who completed the full walk in weather conditions which started as less than ideal! It was certainly a tough challenge and they deserve every credit. We enjoyed completing the final leg of the walk with them and encourage all supporters to make donations if they haven’t already done so.”

Anyone wishing to make a donation to Trust In Yellow can do so via PayPal, sending to Trust In Yellow’s account: payments@trustinyellow.com.

Alternatively supporters can donate using one of the collection buckets which will be on and around the terraces when we welcome Chorley to the Merseyrail Community Stadium on New Year’s Day. A group of Chorley fans are completing a similar sponsored walk to Southport.
